Fochabers (Scottish Gaelic; Fachabair or fothabair) is a village in the old parish of Bellie in Morayshire not far from the cathedral city of Elgin. Located on the east bank of the river Spey, the village has a population of around 2000 and has a rich musical and cultural history.
Every year at the beginning of August, music lovers from all over gather for the world famous Speyfest, a week long folk music extavaganza.
Fochabers is also home to Baxters, the well known family run food manufacturers. Well worth a visit!

In the village you will find a Co-op, a Scot Mid, both well stocked for your groceries, a family run chemist shop, several excellent bars and restaurants including a carry out Chinese and a very popular Fish and Chip shop, a great family run butchers shop, all a ten minute stroll from the park.

There are several designated walks and cycle tracks in the vicinity,  including the Speyside Way.
The surrounding area contains some of the most stunning scenery in Britain.
